UNCITRAL online Guide on the New York Convention is available

The Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards 1958 (the New York Convention) is the most influential legal basis for enforcing arbitral awards in foreign countries. For the purpose of unified interpretation and effective implementation of the Convention, the UNCITRAL, Shearman & Sterling LLP and Columbia Law School jointly developed the UNCITRAL Guide on the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards 1958. The Guide will provide cases law from a number of jurisdictions on the application of the Convention by domestic courts and information on the ratification of the Convention by certain countries.
